🇮🇳 A super adaptable drink inspired by Indian cuisine

A recipe straight from India! Fragrant, tasty, tangy and super-fast, this delicate drink can be enjoyed at breakfast or with a spicy meal.

In India, it can be made in many different ways: with fermented milk (Ribot milk for example, lainé, kefir, etc.), with yoghurt or with a mixture of the two... In short, the combinations are endless!

It's then mixed with fresh fruit, in this case mango, but it can also be figs, peaches, melon, red fruit, etc... You can also add flavor by adding spices or aromas: saffron, orange blossom, rose, cardamom. We love it sweet, but it's also available in savory versions. Once again, the combinations are endless, making lassi a highly adaptable recipe.

Lassi in a glass with a chopped mango, a glass of almond milk and slivered almonds in a bowl.

💙 Why will you love this recipe?

    • It's ready in just 5 minutes and is vegetarian (it can easily be made vegan).
    • It is highly adaptable to your tastes
    • It's simply delicious and takes you all the way to India.

✅ A recipe suitable for gluten intolerant/allergic people

Some almond milks contain gluten. But there are also some that don't, so be careful when buying your own. Yogurt and mango are also gluten-free.

This recipe is therefore suitable for people with gluten intolerance or allergy.

    💡Frequently Asked Questions

Do not store it below 8 degrees before preparing the recipe, otherwise it will lose all its flavor and aroma.

    • ¼ cup almond milk or more if you want a thinner texture
    Metric - US Customary

    Instructions

    • Peel mango, cut them into 3 parts, and remove flesh, which you'll cut into cubes.
    • In a blender, add yogurt, mango, and almond milk. Blend for one or two minutes.
    • Taste it and add more almond milk if you want a thinner consistency. I like it this way, but some may prefer it more liquid. If you want, you can add some crushed ice or a few ice cubes and enjoy it cold!
