    💙 Why you'll love them

    • They're super-easy and quick, ready in less than 20 minutes, perfect for a last-minute aperitif.
    • All you need isa handful of ingredients.
    • They're absolutely delicious!

    🧀 Ingredients

These are the main ingredients, and the quantities can be found in the recipe card below.

    • Fillo pastry sheets, also called phyllo dough
    • Minced meat.
    • An onion.
    • You can make your own mayonnaise, but to speed things up, I took a store-bought version.
    • Ketchup: as with mayonnaise, it can be homemade.
    • Cheddar: sliced, melts better.

    ✅ Vegan and dairy-free version

    • To make this recipe vegan, replace the ground meat with the meat substitute of your choice (tofu, tempeh, seitan, etc.), the cheddar cheese with a vegan cheese, the mayonnaise with a vegan mayonnaise and check that your ketchup is vegan.
    • To make this recipe dairy-free, replace the butter with vegetable margarine and the cheddar cheese with vegan cheese.

    ❄️Storage

You can store these appetizers in an airtight tin in the fridge for around 48 hours. To reheat, pop them into the oven at 320°F/160°C for a few minutes.

If you've made too many, you can freeze them cooked: once cold, place them on a plate in the freezer without touching for around 2 hours. Once they have been pre-frozen, you can place them in a freezer bag and store them for 3 to 4 months.

To defrost, pop them in the oven or frying pan for a few minutes.
