    💙 Why you'll love them

    • They're really easy to make: just marinate the chicken cut into pieces with all the ingredients for a few hours, then cook on skewers.
    • They're perfect for summer: playful, gourmet and perfect for a summer party or barbecue.
    • They require very few utensils, so you won 't have to do much washing up!
    • You can vary the cooking methods as much as you like: frying pan, oven, barbecue, plancha...

    🍋 Ingredients

These are the main ingredients, and the quantities can be found in the recipe card below.

    • Chicken: fillets or cutlets.
    • Herbs: thyme, oregano, parsley and basil. Fresh, frozen or dried, make do with what you have on hand!
    • Lemons: prefer organic lemons, as this recipe uses both the juice and the zest. If the lemon peel is full of pesticides, it's bad for your health!
    • Garlic - if you want to choose your garlic carefully so you do not encourage the slavery of Chinese prisoners, read my Eco Tips on the subject.
    • Onion: I use powdered onion here, which blends better with the chicken pieces than fresh onion.
    • Original Dijon mustard, to lightly flavor and spice up these chicken brochettes.
    • A pinch of ginger: I prefer powdered ginger, which blends better with the chicken pieces than fresh ginger.

    ✨ Customize these chicken skewers

You can add vegetables: red onions, peppers, tomatoes, zucchinis, potatoes, etc...

    🥒What to eat with them?

    • A homemade tzatziki - This fresh cucumber dip goes very well with the brochettes.
    • Pita breads - These ultra-soft, oven-baked breads are perfect!
    • Salads, like the traditional traditional Greek salad.
    • Vegetables: Hasselback zucchinis, roasted eggplant, red lentil dahl, etc.
    • This delicious quinoa bowl with falafel, Lebanese Labneh or a tahini sauce.

    🥰 The chef's tip

The longer you leave the chicken to marinate (24 hours maximum), the better it will be!

    💡 Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make these chicken brochettes in the oven?

You bet! Instead of cooking in a pan, place the skewers in a hot oven at 200°C. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes, turning halfway through.

    And a la plancha?

Once on the picks, simply bake for 5 to 10 minutes.

Does it also work on the barbecue?

Yes, too! When the skewers are ready, grill for 10 to 15 minutes over medium heat.

Can I do them in advance?

Yes, but to keep them as tender and fresh as possible, I recommend making them the night before.

    ❄️Storage

You can store these chicken skewers for 3 to 4 days in an airtight Tupperware-style container in the fridge.

To reheat, place in the oven at 320°F/160°C for a few minutes.
