    💙 Why you'll love it

    • It's really quick and easy to make.
    • It's as good tasting as it is healthy.
    • It is vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free.

    🍋 Ingredients

These are the main ingredients, and the quantities can be found in the recipe card below.

    • Fresh spices: ginger and turmeric root. It's impossible to replace them with powdered spices, which don't have the same benefits (in fact, there's no point at all).
    • An orange: they're in perfect season, to be enjoyed from January to March included.
    • A littlewater: still, to soften the taste of the ginger shot.
    • A lemon, for its juice.
    • Honey: creamy honey if possible. It will sweeten your shots very slightly.

✨ The benefits of ginger shot

    • Ginger: fights fatigue, stimulates the immune system and aids digestion.
    • Turmeric: helps maintain liver health and relieve inflammatory diseases.
    • Orange: rich in calcium and vitamin C, it helps fight viruses and boosts the immune system.
    • Lemon: also helps fight viruses, bacteria and infections, and stimulates the immune system.
    • Honey: anti-bacterial and anti-oxidant, it is also antiseptic and anti-inflammatory. In short, it's got it all!

    ✅ Vegan version

To make this recipe vegan, replace the honey with maple or agave syrup.

    🥰 Chef's tips

    1. If you have a juice extractor, this is the ideal way to make it. It will keep all the nutrients of this ginger shot intact. Otherwise, a blender will do the trick!
    2. Drink it through a straw: this is important, as it's quite strong and can damage your tooth enamel.
    3. Taste and customize to your taste: do you think it's too strong? Add a little water! Not sweet enough? Add a little honey!
