    🍅 Ingredients

These are the main ingredients, and the quantities can be found in the recipe card below.

    • Bread, the kind you like: seeded, wholemeal, gluten-free, etc...
    • Garlic - if you want to choose your garlic carefully so you do not encourage the slavery of Chinese prisoners, read my Eco Tips on the subject.
    • Fresh figs: in season from July to October inclusive.
    • Burrata: this ultra-creamy Italian cheese goes perfectly with the other ingredients.
    • Tomatoes: red, green, yellow or black, treat yourself because they're in season from June to September inclusive!
    • Prosciutto: this Italian ham can be replaced by cured ham, Parma ham or any other ham you like!
    • Avocado - did you know that, depending on the country of origin of your avocados, you run the risk of enriching the mafia? Find out more about green gold and alternatives in this Eco Tips.
    • Balsamic vinegar

    ✅ Vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free version

    • To make this recipe vegan, replace the burrata with a vegan cheese of your choice, and replace the Prosciutto with a meat substitute you like.
    • To make this recipe gluten-free, buy gluten-free bread and remove the piment d'Espelette (or check the label).
    • To make this recipe dairy-free, replace the burrata with a dairy-free cheese

    💡 Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make this recipe in advance?

No, I do not recommend it: the bread may become soggy.

    What to serve it with?

I recommend salad (spinach, for example) with a classic or original vinaigrette. Zucchini or carrot noodles (depending on the season), or edamame, can also be a great idea.

    ❄️Storage

I advise you to eat this toast immediately after preparing it, as the bread may soften quickly.
