🧄Ingredients
You can find a full list of ingredients and measurements in the recipe card below. Here are a few ingredient notes to make this delicious meal.
- Salmon - leave the skin's fillets on, it's what will make the fish moist and tender!
- Garlic - if you want to choose your garlic carefully so you do not encourage the slavery of Chinese prisoners, read my Eco Tips on the subject.
- Fresh herbs - I use parsley but you can replace it with fresh dill, that goes particularly well with salmon.
🍝What to serve it with?
For me, a great recipe calls for great sides! I mean, let's not do half the job and eat this flavor-packed salmon with a tasty side dish! Here are my favorite options:
- Fresh vegetables, such as broccoli, brussels sprouts or asparagus. Green veggies are great with salmon recipes!
- Potatoes: French fries, Cajun fries, sweet potato fries, regular Russet potatoes, red potatoes, etc...
- Any pasta dishes that you like (I loooooove pasta!)
- Lemon wedges to add a bit more flavor.

👩🏻🍳 Chef's tips
- Cook the salmon with its skin, as it's the best way to make it moist and tender!
- Add red pepper flakes or red chili flakes if you want to spice up your salmon!
❄️ Storage and freezing
Store - if you have leftover salmon, let it cool completely before storing it in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Reheat - place it on a sheet of parchment paper in a preheated oven (300°F/150°C) for a few minutes, until hot.
Freezing - let the salmon and the side dish completely cool. Place everything in a freezer bag, labelled with the name of the recipe and the date. Remove as much air as possible, seal the bag and place in the freezer. According to the USDA, it will keep for 3 months.
Defrosting - place the freezer bag in the refrigerator the night before you've planned to eat it. It will slowly defrost, gradually, and will be ready to be eaten the next day!
